Just a quick note... Last night Steve and I had grilled cheese sandwiches accompanied by tomato soup.. we both definitely agreed that it felt like a fall night. Then woke up to rain this morning, so it's official, fall is arriving!
Photo Contest Update
First of all, THANK YOU to all who voted for us!! We brought in such an amazing amount of votes! However, we came in close at second place. A beautiful mama won with her amazingly gorgeous maternity pose. What a great memory for her to have! However, Whitney was so kind to give us a great second place prize. An 11x14 print of our choice. After some decisions, we've decided what picture to go with and where we are going to put it. Stay tuned!
Back to School
Many have already returned to school, others hit the ground running this week. I however am hitting up the sub-site and searching for some jobs. Already have a half day scheduled for tomorrow, wish me luck!
Labor Day Weekend
After a nice (somewhat) long weekend, Steve and I feel very accomplished. The outside of the house is officially done! We finished up the trim, cleaned the sky-light windows, touched up our blemishes on the house and sat back and admired. We love what the exterior of the house has become! After a few months (3 to be exact) of hard work, sweat and tears, we are done! Phew...
Monday we took some time for "us." This included watching some movies, a luxury we have not had for quite some time now. We watched When in Rome, Clash of the Titans, and The Backup Plan. Thank goodness for free redbox movie Mondays!

Job Interview Number 1
Although it was not an interview for a teaching job, I am still hopeful. I came across a summer job working for Evergreen School District, either running or assisting in their kids camps for the summer. The interview seemed very hopeful! And it was a very laid back interview, mainly just talking about the program and what it's all about. He then said that since he has so many people to interview that I was to take home the questions and type (YES TYPE) out my responses and e-mail them to him! Why on earth don't more interviews go like that!? I do much better when I can sit in the comfort of my own home and think of my responses rather then being put on the spot. But I suppose that's what interviews are all about right? I will find out either way about this job by May 18th (I'll keep you updated). For now, the search continues and I will remain hopeful.
Since it is rainy, I have the fire going, reruns of Friends playing in the background. I also have a house that desperately needs cleaning (but it has an owner that lacks the motivation to do so) & a tummy that is in need of some dinner and perhaps a glass of wine. I'm off to fulfill one of those needs, care to guess which one?
