Off to a Rocky Start

2011 has taken a bit of a toll on us so far. Not only is Sabrina sicker then she has been in quite some time, we've also found that this football season of playoffs has taken quite the turn. What happened to those Saints?! and then to follow, the Colts?! And for some of you, the disappointing game of Auburn vs Oregon?! (Sabrina was secretly happy.. shh..)

We've had a bit of extremely cold weather here this past week or so, supposed to bring in some snow and ice tonight. Now as the nightly news is on in the background, we hear that it's not happening... When will Sabrina ever get her wish of some good old fashioned dumping of snow!? Probably never, unless we move to Alaska... No thanks.

Steve sold his baby. No not our baby, his High School baby- Heather. The fire-bird no longer belongs to us. Luckily a very nice guy bought it and we hope that he is going to take great care of her for Steve.

We've been working hard to get our "Save-the-Date" cards out to everyone. Expect them sometime this week, possibly with a photo update, that is if Sabrina get's to feeling more like herself. In the meantime, Sabrina will keep dreaming of a winter like the East Coast is having..

Cheers to being half-way through the work week (after tomorrow of course) with a warm cup of tea.

Starting Off Right

It's hard for us to think that the holiday have already came and went. It seems like we fell asleep one night, then boom, it was over! We enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as enjoying some time off together.

We decorated the house, put up a tree, hung some stocking- in a bit un-traditional way-, decorated a ginger-bread house, had lights hung outside and even hung some mistletoe. It was quite festive here.

We hosted Christmas Eve dinner at our house with Sabrina's mom, brother and great grandma. Sabrina made homemade clam chowder and all the trimmings to go with it. We exchanged presents and enjoyed some quality family time.

On Christmas day, we took advatage of a morning together by watching some classic Christmas movies. Later that evening we headed over to Steve's mom's house to have Christmas dinner.

Our new year was spent making homemade pizza with our friends Josh and Des Bitterman. After chowing down, we spent the evening playing games and ringing in the New Year to the Times Square ball drop. It was a very relaxed and enjoyable time.

This year we decided to forgo exchanging gifts with one another. We had a few things we had been waiting to start on our house and decided to spend the money doing those things. We had a great time doing some much needed improvements to our bedroom. Stay tuned to see pictures of those!

The new year brings us wedding planning, dog training, exercise and enjoying the small things in life with one another. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!
